The Active Antenna is the ideal solution in areas where broadband Internet connections are only possible via UMTS. Even though the signal may be strong outside the building, there cab be poor reception inside. The Active Antenna transfers the signal into the building without any losses. Even if reception is poor, for instance at the periphery of a mobile network cell, the solution from Funkwerk Dabendorf can still ensure an optimised network connection. Software update adds convenient voice functions |

The new software update 9.0 makes hands-free calling via the EGO Look and EGO Flash Bluetooth hands-free kits even more comfortable. Both systems can now be equipped with new voice functions that make telephoning whilst in the car even more convenient. The new features include telephone directory sorting by first name and surname, announcement of the caller’s name, voice output of the mobile phone’s navigation instructions via the car’s radio speakers, audible connection confirmation and call waiting function. Software update 9.0 is available to download now, free of charge, from the download centre here. |

USB hub makes saved data usable with the head unit - flexible software architecture saves costs and steps of development
Funkwerk Dabendorf GmbH, specialist for on-board communications solutions, has developed a USB hub that can be used in vehicles for charging or data transfer. In addition, the Brandenburg company has developed a software architecture that simplifies the integration of Bluetooth phones for automobile manufacturers. Both features can be implemented immediately.

Thanks to the round-table events that were organised last year with ENO telecom, the product management team now has its finger even more firmly on the market’s pulse. In response to a wish that has been expressed by many, we are now including microphones in a stylish matt grey as an optional accessory with all hands-free kits. This enables the hands-free kits to be integrated even less obtrusively into the cockpit. The microphones can be ordered now, using article number R0002058, via your distribution partner. |

Fast Internet with Funkwerk Dabendorf |

Funkwerk Dabendorf is extending its product portfolio with the Home Compenser, a solution providing fast Internet access at home or at work. The Home Compenser is especially ideal for areas in which mobile broadband Internet via UMTS is used as an alternative to DSL. The Compenser’s electronics box bundles the mobile signal and forwards it, loss-free, via cables to terminals such as a WiFi router, UMTS card or Internet dongle. Any internal attenuations on long cables or at connecting points are compensated.
The Home Compenser is available in two versions: firstly as a Plug & Play solution and secondly as a permanent installation combined with a directional antenna.
