The Home Compenser is especially ideal for areas in which mobile broadband Internet via UMTS is used as an alternative to DSL. Starting from now, the Home Compenser is available in two versions: firstly as a Plug & Play solution and secondly as a permanent installation combined with a directional antenna.
As a Plug & Play application, the mobile signal amplifier comes equipped with a small rod antenna. This is used if the signal outside the building is sufficiently strong, but protective insulation and walls mean that its reception inside the building is only weak. The second version is a permanent installation in combination with a directional antenna. This application is useful if the mobile signal network is generally weak. In this case, the external antenna can be aligned with the nearest available UMTS station.
